Techno-Functional Consultant - SAP EWM/ABAP Module (10-12 yrs)

Job Overview :

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled SAP EWM ABAP Techno-Functional Consultant with 10+ years of expertise in SAP EWM and ABAP development. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of both the technical and functional aspects of SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM) and its integration with other SAP modules.

Key Responsibilities :

Functional Expertise :

- Lead the design, implementation, and support of SAP EWM solutions.

- Understand business requirements and translate them into effective SAP EWM solutions.

- Configure SAP EWM system settings to optimize warehouse management processes.

- Provide in-depth functional support for EWM modules including Warehouse Structure, Warehouse Processes, Inventory Management, and Transportation Management.

- Integrate SAP EWM with other SAP modules such as SAP MM, WM, SD, and TM.

Technical Expertise (ABAP) :

- Develop and enhance custom ABAP programs, reports, function modules, and enhancements based on client requirements.

- Work with SAP standard tools like BADI, User Exits, and Enhancement Spots to extend standard functionality.

- Create and modify smart forms and Adobe forms for warehouse processes.

- Troubleshoot and debug ABAP code to identify and resolve issues.

- Perform performance tuning and optimization of ABAP programs.

Project Management :

- Lead or participate in the full lifecycle of SAP EWM implementation and support projects.

- Coordinate with various stakeholders, including functional consultants, business users, and technical teams, to ensure successful project delivery.

- Conduct workshops and training sessions for end-users and provide documentation for the deployed solutions.

Testing and Troubleshooting :

- Perform unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing for all developments.

- Resolve system issues, provide root cause analysis, and implement solutions.

- Support UAT and production deployment activities.

Continuous Improvement :

- Suggest process improvements and best practices to enhance warehouse management efficiency.

- Stay updated with the latest SAP EWM releases, tools, and technologies.

- Provide post-go-live support and system enhancements based on user feedback.

Skills & Qualifications :

Experience :

- Minimum 10+ years of experience in SAP EWM, with at least 5 years of ABAP development experience.

SAP EWM Knowledge :

- Deep understanding of SAP EWM functionality including inbound/outbound processing, warehouse structure configuration, stock movements, and cross-functional integration with SAP MM, SD, and TM.

ABAP Development :

- Expertise in ABAP programming, including reports, forms, interfaces, enhancements, and data migrations.

Functional Knowledge :

- Knowledge of SAP EWM processes, warehouse management strategies (like pick, pack, and ship), and logistics execution.

Technical Skills :

- Proficient in using tools like BADI, User Exits, ALE/IDOC, and SMARTFORMS.

Communication :

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Certification (Optional) :

- SAP EWM Certification is a plus.

Desired Competencies :

- Problem-solving mindset with strong analytical skills.

- Ability to work independently and lead projects.

- Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA EWM is a plus.

- Experience working in Agile project environments.

- Knowledge of warehouse automation and integration with SAP EWM.
