Senior Java Developer

• Purpose of Position

- Understand the current set of applications and build knowledge repository. Adhere to enterprise coding standards across development platforms and applications. Work with the Technical lead and other seniors in effective delivery across applications. This position may require travels to HO (Paris) or other M&O country locations.

- The aim of Marine & Offshore Mumbai Shared Service Center is to handle its existing applications portfolio in terms of ongoing support and maintenance, develop and deliver solutions for new initiatives and also participate in application modernization program.

• Major Responsibilities

- Timely and Bug Free delivery

- Peer code reviews complete with Junit test cases

- Documentation

- Work as an Individual contributor and mentor to junior team members as required

- Timely tracking and publishing of progress to the seniors

- Identify bottlenecks and recommend solutions to effectively overcome them

- Understanding of technical/ functional document

- Timely and Bug Free delivery

- Compliance to coding standards and design principles

Must have:

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Expertise in java with Core Java (servlet, web socket API, JPA, JMS, IOC/DI, annotations)

- Expertise in Spring Security, Spring Batch, Web Services (REST, SOAP), hibernate/mybatis

- Hands-on exposure to Spring MVC

- Hands-on exposure of Programming skills in web frontend (CSS, HTML5, Angular), Jasmine/karma

- Knowledge of AWS Elastic Beanstalk, AWS ElastiCache

- Following experience will be an added advantage (nice to have):

- Experience in handling low level design

- Understand UML Diagram

- Exposure to multi-cultural teams

• Qualification and Experience

- Graduate engineer or equivalent qualification with min. 4 yrs. of experience in recognized , global IT services / consulting company.
