Deputy Editor

Lifestyle Asia India is searching for a seasoned Deputy Editor with in-depth background in covering entertainment, and lifestyle. The Deputy Editor will be responsible for news and content discovery, writing and publishing articles on a daily basis, help organize shoots and events, liaise with celebrities and work towards digital KPIs to produce high quality content for our readers.

1. Content Creation:

• Write well-researched, high-quality articles for the website across various categories.
• Develop and execute engaging editorial ideas in line with the brands vision on social media and the website.
• Edit and proofread content to ensure consistency and adherence to editorial standards.

2. Shoot Production and Events:

• Assist in the planning and execution of editorial shoots, ensuring smooth coordination between the creative team and external stakeholders.
• Support the team in organizing and managing on-ground events and activations, including
• production, guest listing, execution of sales deliverables.

3. Celebrity Coordination:

• Coordinate with celebrities, influencers, and their teams for interviews, collaborations, and other editorial activities.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with industry professionals to facilitate collaborations.

4. Industry Networking:

• Leverage existing contacts within the lifestyle, entertainment, and media space to enhance the
• publications reach.
• Stay updated on industry trends to keep the content fresh and relevant.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Excellent writing and communication skills in English
• Keen interest and knowledge in the world of entertainment & lifestyle
• Possess 3+ years experience in print media in India. Digital experience is an added advantage.
• Proven track record of writing engaging well-researched, SEO-friendly stories
• Detail-oriented, resourceful and can work fast under daily deadlines
• Excellent knowledge of the food scene in major cities in India
• Relationship with celebrities and KOLs in India is a plus
• Social media-savvy and always staying on top of trending topics
• Experience using CMS such as Wordpress
• Working ability of image editing software
• Practical knowledge of video production/editing and being in front of a camera is a plus
