Technical Infrastructure Opensource DBA

Role & responsibilities

• Operates Open Source databases (e.g. PostgreSQL and MariaDB) on Premise or in the cloud. Performs patches, problem diagnosis, monitoring, and config recommendations.
• Incident and demand handling for all Open Source databases based on ITIL standard
• A high level of customer understanding and communication skills, coupled with a high level of quality awareness, is required to improve customer satisfaction for the database service.
• Creative thinking in implementing Service improvements (automation, incident reduction, etc.).
• Willingness and flexibility to learn new technologies scale up quickly and adapt to different roles as the situation demands
• Provides 24X7 support (staff on call)
• Documentations based on the Brose Standards

Preferred candidate profile

Experience in Open Source Databases (PostgreSQL, Maria DB)

Experience in other Open Source Databases databases advantageous

Experience in other RDBMS or NoSQL databases advantageous

Experience in Microsoft and Linux OS

ITIL Know How

First experience with Scripting advantageous

High Availability Know How advantageous

Analysis skills
