Senior System Engineer - Architect SAP

The Senior System Engineer specializing in database administration is responsible for supporting and maintaining SAP databases and systems in our SAP landscape, ensuring its availability, performance, and security. Key Responsibilities
Install and maintain the performance of database servers.
Develop processes for optimizing database security.
Set and maintain database standards.
Manage database access.
Performance tuning of database systems.
Install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
Diagnose and troubleshoot database errors.
Recommend and implement emerging database technologies.
Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
Create automation for repeating database tasks.
Develop, implement, and manage system backup and recovery strategies.
Document system configurations, processes, and procedures to ensure knowledge transfer and compliance with company standards.
Stay up to date with the latest SAP technologies and trends and make recommendations for system improvements and optimizations.
Qualifications Experience

Bachelor s degree in computer science, Engineering or related field or equivalent professional experience.
At least 5+ years of experience in database administration.
Proficiency in all aspects of database administration and good understanding of SAP applications, operating systems, hardware, integration, and networking in various SAP technologies and cloud platforms.
Strong proficiency in SAP HANA administration, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
Experience in SAP ASE, PostgreSQL, MaxDB and Oracle database administration.
Experience in database backup, restore, and recovery.
Experience in operating systems, such as Linux and Windows server.
Experience in full life cycle implementation of multiple database installations, upgrades, and patches.
Experience in database monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication skills both written and verbal.
Good interpersonal skills.
Good documentation skills and practices.
Ability to work effectively in a global team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the organization, build strong partnerships to meet shared objectives.
