Job Description
- Brillio is laser-focused on turning technological disruptions into the advantages that our customers need to thrive in today s digital economy. We are looking for seasoned Database Engineer for our Azure Data Lake which is fuel to the Brillio Insights program.
- The Database Engineer is responsible for building, implementing, and supporting Microsoft BI solutions to meet client requirements.
- Apply knowledge of technologies, applications, methodologies, processes, and tools to support a client, project, or entity.
- Integrating, transforming, and consolidating data from various structured and unstructured data systems into structures that are suitable for building analytics solutions.
- Translate functional design into technical solution
- Design and create complex data conversion and ETL jobs
- Conduct quality control on developments by peers
- Prepare comprehensive technical documentations including specifications, test conditions and error logs
- Execute end-to-end unit testing (Extraction, transformation, load)
- Identify data quality issues and provide recommendations for improvement and resolution
- Work with Functional and Development team to resolve issues
- Execute data load and support data reconciliation in scope with data migration
- Participate in integration testing and document conversion results
- Participate in defect analysis and resolution
- Understanding of database technologies like SQL, ETL, PLSQL, T-SQL or No-SQL
- 7+ years relevant working experience, preferably in a technical environment or in one of the following: Azure, ETL, Talend, SAS, MicroStrategy or DataStage.
- Experience in at least one RDBMS
- Exposure to visual analytics (Power BI)
- Conversant with different methodologies like Agile & Waterfall
- Educational Qualifications: Degree in Computer Science or any related field
- Key Personal Attributes
- Good communication skills, reasoning, and analytical ability
- Strong program and project management skills
- Good at networking and influencing internal and project teams to get work done
