Senior Accountant

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in accounting, banking, and financial management, with a particular focus on compliance, audits, financial reporting, and banking operations. This role will involve managing financial accounts, overseeing audits, handling banking relationships, and ensuring timely reporting to senior management and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Bookkeeping & Accounting: Ensure accurate and timely book-keeping, accounting processes, and compliance with relevant financial regulations such as GST and TDS.

Tax Compliance: Ensure timely filing of tax returns, including GST and TDS, and manage tax payments.

Audit & Accounts Finalization: Lead the preparation, finalization, and auditing of financial accounts, ensuring all records are accurate and compliant with regulations.

Consolidated Financial Reporting: Prepare consolidated monthly/quarterly Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and balance sheets by gathering data from various sites and projects.

Financial Planning Coordination: Coordinate with various teams to prepare financial plans and proposals for submission to lenders.

Budgeting & Strategic Planning: Participate in key strategic meetings with senior management, offering insights on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.

MIS Reporting: Ensure timely submission of various Management Information System (MIS) reports to management.

Coordination with Projects: Act as a liaison with the teams to address accounting-related matters, including purchase orders, billing, payments, and outstanding balances.

Banking & Financial Operations: Communicate regularly with banking officials, maintaining strong business relations, and following up with banks to expedite RTGS, NEFT, and other financial transactions.

Coordination with Auditors: Collaborate with internal and statutory auditors to ensure smooth audit processes and compliance with statutory requirements.

Qualifications & Skills:

Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Professional qualifications such as CA inter is a plus).

Experience: 2-3 years of Proven experience in accounting, banking operations, and financial management, with a focus on auditing and reporting.

Key Skills:

• In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, tax compliance, and financial reporting.
• Strong understanding of CMA data preparation and balance sheet management.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work closely with banking institutions and project teams.
• Proficiency in accounting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Banking Knowledge: Familiarity with banking facilities and processes, including preparing and submitting CMA data to financial institutions.Role & responsibilities

• Oversee tax compliance, auditing, and NBFC regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and perform regular checks on accounts receivable/payable.

Desired Candidate Profile

• 2-7 years of experience in accountancy or related field (NBFC).
• Strong knowledge of MS Excel, email communication, record keeping, and banking institutions.
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders.
