BrightEdge - Senior Automation Engineer - Python/PyTest (3-5 yrs)

About the Role :

We are looking for a highly skilled and dedicated Senior QA Automation Engineer with a strong background in Python, excellent problem-solving abilities, and at least 8 years of experience in test automation. The ideal candidate should demonstrate stability in their career (minimum 3-4 years in previous roles) and possess experience in enhancing frameworks, creating utility tools, and generating reports or performing data analysis using Python.

Responsibilities :

- Ensure adherence to testing best practices and deliver high-quality software.

- Create test plans for team use and knowledge sharing.

- Enhance test automation frameworks using Python, ensuring robust and scalable solutions.

- Build custom tools and utilities in Python to optimize testing processes and improve automation coverage.

- Create detailed, insightful reports and perform data analysis using Python.

- Automate test cases for UI, API, and backend systems, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and implement new features in existing frameworks.

- Contribute to the development of CI/CD pipelines by integrating automation scripts and frameworks.

- Identify bottlenecks in automation processes and propose improvements to enhance efficiency.

Required Skills & Experience :

- 8+ years of experience in test automation with a focus on Python development.-

- Proven ability to create or enhance test automation frameworks and integrate them into CI/CD pipelines.

- Hands-on experience in building utility tools and performing data analysis or reporting using Python.

- Expertise in API testing, scripting, and database validation.

- Strong knowledge of automation frameworks like Selenium, Pytest, or other Python-based testing tools.

- Experience with version control systems (i.e., Git) and continuous integration tools (i.e., Jenkins, GitHub Actions).

- Solid understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and processes.

- Ability to work collaboratively in Agile teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

- A track record of stability, spending 3-4 years in previous roles.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Experience working in the USA for a few months.

- A GitHub profile showcasing projects, tools, or frameworks developed.

- Familiarity with generating test reports using Python libraries like Pandas, Matplotlib, or Seaborn.

- Knowledge of cloud platforms (i.e., AWS, GCP) and containerization tools (i.e., Docker).

- ISTQB or equivalent certification is a plus.
