Job Description
1. Criteria Development
Closely monitor regulatory policy changes concerning CRAs and ensure timely adoption and dissemination of new/revised policies and criteria and regulatory guidelines
Provide the seed idea and lead the team for criteria development and maintenance
Explain and defend the criteria developed for external and internal stakeholders
Chair the internal Criteria Committee
2. Model Development
Lead the team responsible for Credit Risk Rating Model design and development, Scoring model Calibration & Validation.
Design and develop internal credit risk rating assessment models and scoring templates for various verticals using statistical techniques or hybrid approaches. Validate the initial model, implement the model, and monitor the models periodically.
Formulate Rating Model policies and new products for the rating department
Collaborate with the Rating team / Chief Ratings Officer for requirements of the model
Liaise with the regulators on credit risk rating models and improvements.
3. Research
Leading the relevant team regarding the initiative to produce relevant content and research.
Identifying trends in the economy, industry sectors, and regulatory fronts, advising the analytical groups suitably to be addressed during the rating process
Closely monitor the macroeconomic environment, and regulatory policy changes with timely refinements to risk models including sensitivity analysis and forecasts, as necessary.
4. Performance Measurement
Develop and publish rating transition matrices and default studies per the extant regulatory guidelines.
Respond to queries from regulators regarding performance metrics
Responsible for the relevant quarterly, half-yearly, and annual disclosures required as per regulations
5. Others
Conduct regular training programs for the analytical team and other stakeholders on all issues relating to model development, scoring templates, and methodologies including implementation and enhancement.
Provide strategic insights to Management and work closely with them to prioritize business and rating team information needs
Competency / Skills: Competencies and Skills:
Strong mathematical ability
Expertise in statistical techniques and concepts
Experience using statistical software for analyzing datasets (Excel, SPSS, SAS, etc.) is desirable.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to supervise and guide two separate teams
Ability to analyze, model, and interpret data with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience in Regulatory reporting and managing regulatory audits
CA /BTech + MBA from a recognized institute in India.
