Position Summary

ALLDATA is seeking an experienced Lead Systems Engineer to join our Product development team. We are on a journey to expand our Digital Product to Europe along with North America. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of ALLDATA s online Products. Additionally, these systems will need coordination across US and Mexico development teams, in addition to working closely with business users in Europe and North America. Candidate is expected to have good communication skills in global setup and responsible for end to end EPICs and user story delivery in Agile methodology. This includes applying domain knowledge, using technical skills, leading, and mentoring less experienced AutoZoners, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required.

Key Responsibilities

Own the Governance Process for reviewing project designs and ensuring that solutions adhere to technology standards, are aligned with Business and IT strategy, and are appropriately robust.
Collaborate with execution teams to provide timely recommendations and drive solution design to the best possible outcomes that align with our Long-Term Strategy and Standards
Collaborate with Business Stakeholders and Product Owners to develop business capability roadmaps to frame long-term business strategy
Create, test and support software applications
Participate in design sessions with IT Architects and produce high- and low-level designs as necessary
Collaborate with other engineers in the team to deliver new capabilities. Coach and mentor other team members as needed
Quickly and effectively troubleshoot problems in development and production environments
Responsible for others accurate work planning and execution, accurate project time tracking
Review code and designs from other team members
Provide suggestions on performance improvements of existing platform
Coordinate with product owners and business partners to gather requirements and document them as needed
Able to perform tasks with little or no technical supervision with solid problem solving, domain technical and analytical skills

Education and Experience Requirements

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
14+ years of experience in the IT industry with hands on development experience and appropriate depth in at least one technology stack
5+ years of experience as a Technical / Solutions Architect in Java backend and Angular/React frontend
12+ years of experience and expertise in Java development with additional experience in Spring Framework, and Spring Boot (5-10 years)
Advanced task estimation and planning skills
Experience using Relational Databases (ex. Oracle/Informix/SQL Server etc.), writing SQL queries. Experience with Mongo DB and search engines like Solr or Elastic
Must be a team player with great interpersonal and communication skills; time-management skills are critical
Advanced expertise in at least one technical area

Nice to Have

Experience with Jenkins and CI/CD pipelines
Experience in Bash scripting/Linux system administration
Any search engine experience (especially Elasticsearch)
Experience in Apache/Ignite technology like Apache Tomcat
Experience working on GCP Cloud and APIGEE is a definite plus and good to have skill
