Job Description - Procurement Finance Analyst

As a key member of Boyds Finance team, Procurement Finance Analyst will support the organization’s annual budgeting, monthly/quarterly reporting, and long-range forecasting. He or she will also partner with executive leaders and stakeholders to provide analytical/business case support, derive data-driven insights, and influence leaders to make value added decisions. The ideal candidate is an impactful difference maker who interacts seamlessly with individuals at all levels of the organization while also serving as a strong and influential leader within the Finance team. This position will report to the Senior Sales Finance Manager.

Shift Timing : 2:00 PM To 11:00 PM

• Build and maintain strong, cross-functional relationships with senior leadership across the business
• Partner with sales and operational leaders to identify opportunities for margin improvement and track progress
• Analyze financial data and create financial models for decision support
• Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews
• Analyze past results, perform variance analysis, identify trends, and make recommendations for improvements
• Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analyzing actual results with plans and forecasts
• Provide analysis of trends and forecasts and recommend actions for optimization
• Recommend actions by analyzing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses;
• Identify and drive process improvements, including the creation of standard and ad-hoc reports, tools, and Excel & Power BI dashboards
• Analyze and propose process improvements to enable more efficient and accurate reporting
• Support the annual budgeting process
• Drive reporting of actual monthly results to budget targets
• Perform ad hoc research, analysis, and reporting as required

Requirements:

• Must have expertise in business analytics and tools including advanced Excel skills, Power BI, ERP systems, and planning systems such as Control, OneStream, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle, etc.
• Extensive understanding of financial concepts including financial statement analysis, accounting, budgeting, profitability analysis, and standard costing methodologies
• Experience partnering with and influencing senior executives across multiple functions (sales, marketing, R&D, products, operations, etc.)
• Ability to work in a collaborative and team-centric culture
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate successfully with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Strong financial modeling experiences and must have ability to deep dive and interpret complex data
• Develop, enhance and maintain operational and ad-hoc reports to satisfy internal and external reporting requirements
• Prepare various monthly presentation packages for management reviews
• Working knowledge of IFRS and FX analysis preferred
