Senior Chartered Accountant (Banking Sector)

Key Responsibilities

1. Bank Audits (Statutory, Concurrent & Internal):

• Lead and manage statutory, concurrent, and internal audits for banking clients.
• Ensure compliance with RBI guidelines, ICAI standards, and applicable regulatory frameworks.

2. Treasury and Investment Operations:

• Evaluate treasury functions, including investments, forex operations, money market activities, and derivatives.
• Review compliance with RBI Master Directions related to liquidity management, CRR/SLR requirements, and investment portfolios.

3. Financial Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze financial statements and assess banking ratios for decision-making.
• Prepare detailed audit reports and communicate findings to senior management and clients.

4. Compliance & Risk Management:

• Ensure adherence to RBI circulars, ICAI guidelines, and internal control procedures.
• Assess risk management frameworks, with a focus on operational, credit, market, and liquidity risks.

5. Team Leadership:

• Supervise and guide junior auditors during audit engagements.
• Review audit working papers and documentation for completeness and accuracy.

Key Requirements:

• Qualification: Chartered Accountant (CA) ICAI
• Experience: Minimum 7+ years in auditing and advisory services for banking and financial institutions.
• Technical Knowledge:
• Sound understanding of banking regulations, including RBI circulars and Banking Regulation Act, 1949.
• Deep knowledge of treasury operations, including forex, investments, liquidity management, and derivatives.
• Familiarity with CRR/SLR calculations, asset-liability management, and RBI-mandated reporting requirements.
• IT Skills: Proficiency in banking software, audit tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
