Position Overview:

The Structural Engineer is responsible for designing and analysing structural systems to

ensure they are safe, stable, and capable of withstanding various loads and environmental conditions. This role involves collaborating with architects, contractors, and other engineers to develop and implement structural solutions for a wide range of projects.

Roles and Responsibilities:
Design and Analysis

• Develop detailed structural designs and calculations for various types of structures, including buildings, bridges, and industrial facilities.
• Utilize engineering software (e.g., AutoCAD, SAP2000, ETABS) to create and analyze
  structural models and drawings.
• Ensure designs meet safety, performance, and regulatory requirements.
  Project Collaboration
• Work closely with architects, project managers, and other engineers to integrate
  structural design with overall project objectives.
• Provide technical guidance and support during the construction phase to address
  design-related issues and modifications.
  Regulatory Compliance
• Ensure that all structural designs comply with local building codes, regulations, and
  industry standards.
• Prepare and submit required documentation and reports to regulatory agencies as
  needed.
• Liaise with vetting authority/agencies for structure design approvals.
  Site inspections and assessments:
• Conduct site inspections to assess existing conditions and verify the accuracy of
  structural designs and construction practices.
• Identify and address any structural issues or deficiencies observed during inspections.
  Risk Management
• Analyze and mitigate potential risks associated with structural designs and
  construction processes.
• Develop contingency plans to address any unforeseen issues or changes in project
  scope. 6. Documentation and reporting:
• Prepare detailed engineering reports, design specifications, and construction
  documents.
• Maintain accurate records of design calculations, correspondence, and project
  documentation.
• Carry out material take-off & BOQ for structural design elements
