Job description

As an Accounts Executive, you will oversee daily accounting operations, ensuring efficient bookkeeping, timely tax filings, and accurate financial reporting. Your responsibilities will include managing accounts payable and receivable, preparing and filing ITR, TDS, and GST returns, and conducting bank reconciliations. You will coordinate the completion of annual audits and prepare monthly tax reports based on subcontractor and supplier invoices. Additionally, you will maintain day-to-day payment records, receipts, vouchers, and petty cash, and manage the balance sheet, general ledger, and invoicing. The ideal candidate should possess advanced knowledge of accounting practices and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of accounting operations.


Role & responsibilities

Every day tasks:

- General Book keeping

- Recording Sales transactions and allocating the bank receipts to the invoices.

- Gathering data from various customers portals like Airbnb, booking.com, Expedia, Stripe etc and allocating the receipts to the invoices and reconcile customer accounts.

- Bank reconciliations on daily basis.

- Issuing credit notes as and when requested .

- Preparing split invoices in excel as and when requested and converting them into PDFs and mailing customers.


Weekly tasks:

- Emailing the invoices to the customers .

- Preparing ageing debtors statements and emailing them to the customer.

- Raising invoices in Customer portals as and when guests checks out and requesting for the payments.


Monthly tasks:

- Preparing the client statements (P&L) in excel from the bank statements ensuring all the revenue and expenses are accurately accounted, and once it is reviewed for correctness, preparing PDFs for the same and emailing the clients.

- Reconcile the sales between different software application.


Quarterly tasks:

- Preparing the returns , checking for errors and ensuring the correctness of the data and submitting it to the respective departments.


Preferred candidate profile

  • 2+ years of experience in an Accounting role reporting directly to upper management
  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or related discipline.
  • A candidate who can work independently without much help once the training is completed.
  • Willingness to take the accountability and ownership of their responsibilities .
  • They should check and verify their own work before submitting for the review or emailing any docs to the customers.
  • Effective communication is a must factor,as they would be working with diverse clientele.
