Position Overview:
The Salesperson for the ROW Gardening Division will be responsible for driving sales and business development across international markets (excluding primary regions).
This role focuses on the sale of gardening and landscaping machinery, including lawnmowers, trimmers, hedge cutters, and other innovative gardening equipment.
The ideal candidate will have experience in sales, a strong understanding of the gardening machinery sector, and a strategic mindset to capture opportunities across diverse global markets.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Development:
- Identify and engage potential clients in the ROW regions (including but not limited to Africa, Asia, South America, and Oceania).
- Develop and implement targeted strategies to expand the market for Bonhoeffer's gardening machinery in new regions.
- Promote new and existing products to customers, distributors, and dealers.
Client Relationship Management:
- Establish and nurture long-term relationships with distributors, dealers, and key clients in international markets.
- Act as the main point of contact for existing and potential clients, providing excellent customer service and product knowledge.
- Manage ongoing relationships to ensure repeat business, satisfaction, and retention.
Market Expansion & Strategy:
- Research international market trends, customer needs, and competitor offerings in the gardening machinery sector.
- Develop customized sales strategies to meet the unique demands of various global markets.
- Collaborate with the marketing and technical teams to ensure products meet market-specific needs.
Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
- Track and report on sales performance against targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
- Provide insights on market feedback, customer preferences, and potential improvements.
- Present sales forecasts and recommendations for business growth and market penetration.
Negotiations & Closing Sales:
- Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and technical consultations with potential clients, distributors, and dealers.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with international clients to close sales.
- Ensure that product delivery schedules and customer expectations are met.
Travel & Representation:
- Travel internationally to meet clients, attend trade shows, and participate in industry events to represent Bonhoeffer Machines.
- Build brand awareness for Bonhoeffer Machines at regional and international events focused on gardening, landscaping, and horticultural machinery.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5 plus years of experience in sales, preferably within the gardening machinery, landscaping, or horticulture equipment sectors.
- Proven track record of successfully expanding sales and establishing market presence in international markets.
- Experience in managing international accounts, working with distributors, and understanding diverse market needs.
Skills:
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand and explain complex product features to customers.
- Proficient in using CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple regions simultaneously.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Technical knowledge or interest in gardening machinery would be an advantage.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in additional languages (Spanish, French, Portuguese, etc.) would be an advantage.
Other:
- Willingness to travel frequently across international markets.
- Ability to adapt to different cultural and business environments.
- Knowledge of the gardening machinery industry or related sectors is a plus.
