Relationship Manager

Role & responsibilities

• Execution and management of trades for developed and emerging market interest rate
strategies
• Maintains daily broker contact to conduct bond and money market instrument trading.
• Manage counterparty relationships.
• Executes the purchases and sales of fixed-income securities within the parameters set by
Portfolio Managers, Director of Leveraged Finance trading or the Head of Trading
• Analyze and timely provide details relating to primary bond issuance.
• Understand how flows in one asset class may impact prices and yields in related asset classes.
• Contributes market color and spread data to investment discussions.
• Construction and ongoing management of Fixed Income portfolios, across multiple sectors and
currencies
• Trading/execution of Fixed Income securities across multiple sectors and currencies in the
Fixed Income market
• Working with other portfolio managers, analysts, and traders to develop model portfolios that
meet client needs.
• Think strategically about the portfolio management process, technology, and ways to scale the
business.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong knowledge and understanding of asset management business and investment products
within the Fixed Income and money markets.
• Excellent communication skills, especially for client interaction
• This role requires a strong market knowledge, with an understanding of trading conventions
presentation and client facing skills.
• Ability to work within and across teams and a desire to collaborate.
• A self-starter, with enthusiasm, drive and demonstrated learning ability to develop into a strong
trader.
• Ability to manage relationships both externally with the market internally with members of the
global Portfolio Management team.
