Education Qualification

  • A suitable Bachelors/Masters degree with specialization in Human Resources.
  • Professional HR certifications, such as the Post Graduate Certificate in Human Resource Management, Certified HR Generalist, Certified Payroll Specialist, and Certified Recruitment Analyst, etc., will be valuable.

Job Description

Recruitment [screening, selection, onboarding and orientation]

  • Identifying the hiring needs of the organisation and creating job descriptions.
  • Ability to use various mediums, including print, social media, etc., to recruit, screen resumes, interview and advise on suitable candidates.
  • Framing and overseeing the onboarding process and conducting induction programs.
  • Reviewing existing application & appointment formats, systems and letters with the aim of bringing them on par with best-in-class industry levels.

Employer Branding

  • Developing and maintaining the institutions (employer) brand and creating a positive image as an employer of choice.

Employee Relations

  • Handling employee queries and promoting a positive and productive workplace culture.
  • Holding regular interactions with (groups of) employees to explain new developments and policies.

HR Information Systems, Data Management, Assessment & Reporting

  • Updating and creating systems to manage and maintain employee data using HR analytics to provide accurate and online MIS for the management.
  • Analysing turnover rates, tracking employees/growth in the institution and forecasting hiring needs.
  • Creating a matrix for performance assessment of employees and assisting the management in establishing employee targets & KRA’s and setting rewards or otherwise.
  • Improving the current student databank information for better reporting and MIS.
  • Improving the current ‘parent profile’ and ‘Alumni’ databank for better access and use by the institution.

Compliance

  • Ensuring all recruitment processes comply with legal requirements and regulations.
  • Employer/Employee related statutory compliances such as PF, ESIC, gratuity, labour dept., education dept., etc
  • Updating and maintaining records and documentation as required.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills in English, Hindi and Marathi.
  • Experience with Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS) or HRMS (Human Resources Management System), etc.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools like Tableau, Power BI, etc.
  • Knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and project management tools
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Organizational skills
  • Knowledge of HR laws and regulations
  • Strong sense of ethics and integrity
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally
  • Adaptable to organizational changes
  • Empathetic towards employees’ needs and concerns

Note: Previous experience with an educational institution would be an advantage.
