Key skills for the job
Job Description
- Understand the business requirements, preparing AS-IS, and TO-BE documents and get sign-off from users for Business Blueprint document.
- ABAP debugging beneficial (Workbench related knowledge of new development/enhancements)
- Setting up the organization structure of Materials Management and perform all relevant configuration for example Purchase Organisation, Valuation Area Plants, Storage Location and Warehouse structure, etc
- Preparation of testing documents and perform internal testing
- Integration testing with other modules
- Understand interfaces, IDOC and RFCs processing
- Preparing the cut over strategy for WM objects
- Preparing User manuals and conducting training to business process owners
- Go-live preparation and post Go-live support
- Interaction with clients through meetings, calls and emails
- Executing the required changes through configuration
- Executing the analysis and resolution of Production Support calls
- Raising Change Requests (CR s) and writing Functional Specifications for them
- Guiding team to prepare test data for testing of CR s (Change Requests)
- Interact with consultants of cross modules to bring out a better solution according to the customer need and BMW standard solution.
- Fair knowledge across all Logistical SAP modules however good knowledge on the Warehouse management. Initial focus on in/outbound, inventory, returns and master data.
- Ability to assist with problem identification and possible solution by means of skills such as code debugging.
What should you bring along
University Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
Minimum 10-15 years of hands-on experience in SAP IM/WM with subject matter expertise
Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
Experience with project management tools, JIRA, Confluence
Experience in data modeling and designing
Experience with the automotive industry and agile methodology.
Excellent command of both spoken and written English
Willing and able to travel internationally.
The following functional skills are essential:
Documentation of as-is and to-be business processes. Coordinate with other module SAP Consultants for Integration requirements. Provide System Proposal / System Design Specifications to Technical team for any Customized developments objects. Preparation of test cases and user manuals. S/4HANA Functional experience on stockroom Solution Manager experience will be advantageous
