Job Description
- Assisting senior engineers in creating test plans by coordinating with developers and other team members
- Identifying and logging issues occurring during an applications run time
- Examining the logs carefully to identify issues and conducting a thorough analysis to determine their underlying causes
- Assisting in configuring the test environment, including software installations, information preparation and test data creation
- Providing regular updates on the issues found, along with their causes and possible resolutions
- Documenting the steps to reproduce defects, associated test data and other relevant information
- Conducting regression testing to ensure there are no additional bugs or issues due to the fixes implemented
- Performing thorough testing by covering all test cases to ensure the application works as intended
What should you bring along
- Coordinating with the development team through all the phases of the SDLC to get a detailed and high-level overview of the application
- Going through the application requirements and design documents to understand a systems designs, components and interactions, which can help with developing robust test cases
- Developing comprehensive testing structures that test the overall functionality of the product along with each components functionality and behaviour
- Creating a test strategy in collaboration with business analysts, project managers and developers that aligns with the companys standards
- Developing detailed test plans, cases and scripts that cover various scenarios and conditions
- Setting up and configuring test environments
- Preparing test data that reflects real-world scenarios
- Collecting and analysing relevant testing metrics, such as test coverage and execution progress, and defect density
Must have technical skill
JIRA, X-Ray, Confluence and any Test Metrics reporting software, Test Case Design, Testing Fundamentals,
Software Testing Life Cycle
Good to have Technical skills
