Civil Engineer (Railway Track Maintenance)

Role & responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections of railway tracks to check for defects, wear, alignment issues, and any other problems.
• Plan and execute preventive & Corrective maintenance tasks on the railway tracks, including welding, resurfacing and re-aligning the track, leveling, packing etc.
• Supervise & guide the team of track maintenance contract manpower.
• Coordinate the replacement of damaged or worn - out track components (rail, switches, etc.)
• Handle all major & minor repairs that affects the operational efficiency & safety of the railway network.
• Ensure that all maintenance and repairs comply with railway safety standards & regulations.
• Maintain the stock of spares of spares available all the time are required for the maintenance of track.
• Keep record of inspections, repairs and maintenance activities.
• The person should possess both civil & mechanical related knowledge concerned to railway track.

B E / M - Tech in Civil.
