Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager (SMS - Electrical)

Role & responsibilities

• Particular area related GA drawings & its manual to be maintained
• Related electrical drawings to be maintained and update with dates and reasons to be mentioned
• list out the installed qty of the instruments/ electrics in the equipment's & record it
• list out the spare required to maintain the system running smoothly & store the available in the SMS- EAF STORE with the location marked
• Reviewing the Shift and General shift activities day to day work
• Update the check list for every maintenance carried out & as per the schedule
• create the equipment history and update for every event occurred
• Daily inspect the equipment's for good housekeeping and safe working atmosphere
• Take necessary action to protect the equipment's which comes under heat and dust
• trouble shoot the repeated problem with modification or upgradation of the system to resolve it permanently
• Providing the necessary information and documents to the planning department for reference and record
• listing out the requirements and communicating with planning department for material ordering or follow ups and same will be updated by yourself to track down the same in case of emergency
• Daily activities to be planned and submit the same to planning cell for updates in daily job plan
• Weekly meeting review with the material status and other issues related to repeated problem
• up dating the monthly preventive maintenance plan vs actual activities with respective incharge
• planning the training activities in co-ordination with planning deprartment & Conducting the technical training to the technician for improving the skill
• filing the incident report for any kind of failure occurred & recording the same
• Recording the near miss and sending the reprot to safety on monthly basis
• Attending the safety review meeting points related to equiment or working safety.
• Analysing the power consumption and discussing with operational head for better specific power consumption figure as per AOP
• Reviewing the maintenance activities for each system based on AOP declared planned shutdown
• Ensuring the availability of consumables and keeping the min stock
• Ensuring the AC/chiller unit condition and improving the same in all power room and control rooms
• Conducting the department meeting regularly and informing the plant required production and up keeping the equipment healthy
• Attending the department safety meeting and resolving the issue raised by safety
