Job Description: Reporting Application Developer Overview

This position is an exciting opportunity with a growing IT team. Black Box Network Services is a leading communications system integrator dedicated to designing, sourcing, implementing, and maintaining todays complex communications solutions. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Reporting Application Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in developing and implementing reporting solutions using Power BI and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services). Additionally, extensive experience in SQL scripting and SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) is required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, design, and maintain reporting solutions using Power BI and SSRS.
• Create and optimize SQL scripts to extract, transform, and load data.
• Design and implement ETL processes using SSIS to support data integration and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand reporting needs and translate them into technical specifications.
• Develop and maintain dashboards, visualizations, and reports in Power BI.
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all reporting solutions.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for reporting applications.
• Continuously improve and optimize reporting processes and solutions.
• Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in reporting technologies and tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in SQL scripting and Power BI development.
• Extensive experience in SSRS and SQL scripting.
• Proficient in SSIS for ETL processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and accuracy.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with other BI tools and technologies is a plus.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
• Familiarity with database design and data modeling.
