Job Title: Performance Testing Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Performance Testing Engineer who will be responsible for ensuring that applications meet performance, scalability, and stability requirements. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in creating performance test strategies, executing test scripts, and identifying performance bottlenecks using various tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Performance Test Strategy:
   
• Develop and implement performance testing strategies and test plans.
• Define performance benchmarks and SLAs for applications.
2. Test Execution & Analysis:
   
• Create and execute performance test scripts for load, stress, endurance, and spike testing.
• Monitor and analyze system performance, resource usage, and response times during tests.
• Identify performance issues and work with development teams to resolve bottlenecks.
3. Tool Usage:
   
• Use performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling, or Neoload.
• Monitor applications using APM tools like Dynatrace, AppDynamics, or New Relic.
4. Collaboration:
   
• Work closely with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
• Participate in design reviews and provide feedback on performance considerations.
5. Reporting:
   
• Generate detailed performance test reports, including recommendations for improvements.
• Present findings to stakeholders and suggest optimization techniques.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience in performance testing and engineering (4+ years).
• Proficiency in performance testing tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, Neoload, or Gatling.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics, New Relic, Grafana).
• Understanding of performance metrics: response time, throughput, latency, resource utilization (CPU, memory, network, disk).
• Knowledge of protocols (HTTP, WebSocket, REST, SOAP, SQL).
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitLab).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify bottlenecks.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Shell, or Groovy) for automation.
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
