Data Scientist - R/Python

You will address complex challenges, including but not limited to personalisation, inventory management, and search optimization. Key Responsibilities:

- Utilize advanced data processing, analytical modelling, and visualisation techniques to derive deep insights from market-level supply and demand data, translating them into actionable strategies.

- Implement state-of-the-art personalization algorithms that significantly enhance user experience and engagement across our platform.

- Analyze existing data to identify new growth opportunities, guiding strategic business decisions.

- Design, build, and deploy machine learning models to create highly personalized marketing campaigns that resonate with user behaviors and preferences.

- Develop and refine search algorithms to improve relevancy and ensure that usersfind what they need with minimal friction.

- Use predictive analytics and data-driven strategies to optimise demand forecasting and streamline inventory management processes.

- Design and implement personalized promotions, discounts, and coupons that drive user engagement and retention.

- Lead the charge in proposing and implementing innovative solutions.

- Take ownership of the entire model lifecycle, from development through deployment, ensuring continuous improvement and iteration based on rigorous testing and user feedback.

- Evaluate model performance using sophisticated metrics and effectively communicate findings through compelling visualisations.

- Maintain a cutting-edge understanding of advancements in natural language processing (NLP), deep learning (DL), and other relevant domains, applying these learnings to enhance our platform.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, or a closely related field.

- 2-3 years of robust experience in data science, with a preference for experience within e-commerce domain.

- Advanced proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R, with a deep understanding of their application in data science.

- Extensive experience in SQL and MongoDB for efficient data extraction and manipulation.

- Strong familiarity with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Scikit-learn, with hands-on experience in model development and deployment.

- Expertise in natural language processing (NLP) and deep learning (DL), with a proven track record of applying these techniques to real-world problems.

- Working understanding of data-driven product personalization and recommendation systems is preferred.

- Exceptional analytical abilities with a sharp problem-solving mindset, capable of tackling complex challenges with innovative solutions.

- Experience in deploying machine learning models on AWS, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance optimization.

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. A strong team-oriented approach with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
