Job Description

  • Role Objective:

The key objectives for this position are to have knowledge of all SAP modules (like MM, PP, SD, FI, Basis, SPRO, and TR movement), End-user support, training to the user as per requirement module-wise, table-level knowledge, UAT data preparation, LSMW creation and update, mass data changes, manage master data, Coordination between Biotech and SAP support partners, SAP System project coordination, and Maintain the TCode Authorization matrix.


  • Desired Candidate Profile:
  • Education: Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field. SAP certification will be an advantage.
  • Experience: 5 to 9 years of experience in SAP module operations and IT system management.

  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in SAP modules such as MM, PP, SD, FI, Basis, and SPRO.
    • Hands-on experience with LSMW creation, UAT data preparation, and SAP table-level knowledge.
    • Expertise in SAP TCode authorization management.
    • Strong understanding of SAP integration and configuration.

  • Other Skills: Familiarity with audit and compliance requirements related to SAP operations.

  • RESPONSIBILITY:
  • Responsible to identify and define the business needs for a technical solution to fulfill the requirements.
  • Develop manage implementation plan and implement deployment strategy.
  • Responsible to create, maintain and communicate requirements, conduct analysis, coordinate the design of solutions establishing metrics for success.
  • Write detailed requirements specifications, functional specifications technical design documents, use cases, workflow charts, test plans.
  • Responsible for requirements traceability, user acceptance testing, results in verification, defect resolutions overall release sign-off.
  • Provide support for users by writing maintaining user documentation.
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to define effect on the overall system, and coordinate recording of modifications for management control.
  • Exploit SAP integration to minimize redundant data entry.
  • Exploit SAP configuration to enable a generic rule that simplifies decision making for the user.
  • Develop policies and procedures to manage approved budgeted support hours.
  • Discuss with the SAP Consultant team regarding the incident and CR-related requirements.
  • Enforce compliance with policy and procedures by supporting internal-external auditors.
  • Working as per SAP Authorization Matrix (Z:IT: ERP2)
  • Weekly SAP CR and Incident review meeting with SAP Consultant team.
  • Prepare SAP CR and Incident reports weekly and Submit to HOD.

  • In-depth knowledge of SAP modules and their interdependencies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address technical and operational challenges.
  • Proficiency in preparing functional specifications, workflows, and test plans.
  • Excellent project coordination and time management abilities.

  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Attention to detail with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Result Areas (KRA)


1. SAP Operations Management:

    • Ensure uninterrupted functionality of SAP modules and TCode Authorization matrix.
    • Efficiently address incidents and change requests (CR).

2. Training and Documentation:

    • Provide timely and effective training to end-users.
    • Develop and maintain comprehensive user documentation.

3. Data Management:

    • Manage and ensure accuracy of master data and mass data updates.
    • Ensure smooth execution of UAT and LSMW updates.

4. Compliance and Reporting:

    • Maintain compliance with internal policies and audit requirements.
    • Prepare and deliver comprehensive incident and CR reports weekly.

Key Performance Indicators (KPI):


  • Incident Resolution Time: Percentage of incidents resolved within defined SLAs.
  • CR Delivery Efficiency: Percentage of change requests completed on time.
  • Data Accuracy: Level of accuracy achieved in mass data changes and master data updates.
  • User Training Effectiveness: User feedback and training completion rates.
  • Compliance Score: Audit findings related to SAP system operations.
  • Reporting Accuracy: Timeliness and accuracy of weekly CR and incident reports.
