LCMS Specialist- Pharma R&D

Job description requirements (LCMS Scientist)

We are looking for a LCMS Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LCMS) with a focus on peptide/protein and polysaccharide analysis. This role involves method development, Qualification/Validation, data analysis, and basic troubleshooting of LCMS instrumentation to support our projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and optimize LCMS methods for the analysis of peptides/proteins and polysaccharides.
• Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis of peptides and proteins using LCMS.
• Basic experience in troubleshoot and maintenance of LCMS instrumentation to ensure optimal performance.
• Analyze, interpret, and document the data.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various research projects.
• Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Masters/Ph. D degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related field.
• For a Ph. D candidate, a minimum of 2 years of experience is required, for a MSc candidate a minimum of 8 years of experience is required particularly in LCMS analysis of peptide and polysaccharide analysis.
• Proficiency in data analysis software used in LCMS (e.g., Analyst).
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with method development and impurity profiling of peptides
• Familiarity with other analytical techniques such as HPLC, SEC, and FT-IR.
• Knowledge of regulatory guidelines for bioanalytical method development.
