Position Overview: The Senior Content Strategist is responsible for developing and executing content strategies that align with the brand's goals, audience needs, and marketing objectives. This role involves overseeing the creation, distribution, and optimization of content across multiple channels, ensuring consistency, creativity, and high engagement. A Senior Content Strategist collaborates with cross-functional teams including marketing, design, and product, to ensure that content supports overall business goals and drives measurable results.

Key Responsibilities:

Content Strategy Development:

- Develop comprehensive content strategies that support the organization's brand, objectives, and audience.

- Conduct audience research and competitive analysis to identify key content opportunities.

- Define content KPIs (key performance indicators) and create measurement frameworks to track performance.

Content Creation & Optimization:

- Oversee the creation of high-quality content across various formats, including social media content, videos, and more.

- Continuously refine content strategies based on performance data and emerging trends.

Team Leadership & Collaboration:

- Lead and mentor a team of content creators, editors, and designers, providing guidance, feedback, and creative direction.

- Collaborate with other departments such as marketing, sales, support and product teams to ensure content aligns with business goals and campaigns.

- Manage external content creators, agencies, and freelancers when necessary, ensuring quality and consistency.

Content Calendar & Planning:

- Create and maintain content calendars to plan for content creation, promotion, and distribution.

- Coordinate with other teams to ensure content is delivered on time and meets deadlines.

- Adapt content strategies based on seasonal trends, product launches, or business initiatives.

Analytics & Reporting:

- Regularly analyse content performance through metrics such as traffic, engagement, conversions, and ROI.

- Use data insights to refine strategies and optimize content for better results.

- Present content performance reports to key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

- Proven experience (3+ years) in content strategy, content marketing, or a related field, with a track record of developing successful content strategies.

- Strong understanding of digital marketing, content analytics, and social media platforms.

- Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with an ability to tailor content to different formats and audiences.

- Experience leading and managing content teams, with excellent leadership and mentoring skills.

- Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.

Preferred Skills:

- Familiarity with content formats such as video, podcasts, and campaigns.

- Experience in B2B or B2C content strategies for various industries (e.g., footwear & Apparel).

- Knowledge of branding and positioning strategies.
