Position Description :

We're searching for a talented Senior API Developer with strong Java expertise to join our tight-knit engineering team. Your work will be highly valued as you contribute to our growth and success by building reliable and efficient software solutions.

Responsibilities :

- Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable APIs using Java and related technologies

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions

- Ensure API performance, reliability, and security by conducting thorough testing and quality assurance

- Optimize API performance and efficiency to meet evolving business needs

- Stay up-to-date with the latest API technologies and industry trends

Qualifications :

- Minimum 8-10 years of overall development experience

- Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Developer or equivalent role

- 5+ years of experience building APIs, especially REST calls

- 5+ years building applications in Java, experience with Java 11 is mandatory and Java 17 is plus

- 2+ years of experience using a web framework (Thymeleaf, Spring 5, Hibernate)

- 2+ years of experience using a SQL database (MySQL, MSSQL, etc.)

- Experience working with monolithic architecture and microservices architecture.

- Experience with other tools like Free UI, Velocity, Open API, Azure Cloud, Jenkins, Jira is plus

- Efficient, practical programmer with a record of designing and producing dependable code

- Care about making sure code is maintainable and well-tested

- Proficiency in version control systems (e.g., Git)

- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and debugging skills

- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team

- Conversational English required

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field

Bonus Points :

- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure)

- Experience with API testing and documentation tools

Working hours and location :

- To ensure coverage with North American teams, working hours will be 2 PM to 11 PM India time

- Working from our Chennai office for a minimum of 3 days a week
