About the Position
The Market Linkages Manager will be responsible for developing and managing the market linkages for the products generated in various geographies of India with initial focus on Nashik, Pune, Vadodara. The role involves strategizing, implementing, and overseeing both online and offline sales channels to ensure the effective marketing and distribution of bio-compost and other related products. The ideal candidate will be a business management graduate with a passion for sustainable development and women s empowerment.
Responsibilities
Market Strategy Development:
Design and execute a comprehensive market strategy for the sale of bio-compost.
Identify all potential markets, including retail outlets, premium gardening stores, farmers market, nurseries, and e-commerce platforms among many other options
Sales and Distribution:
Develop partnerships with distributors, retailers, and local businesses to ensure product reach.
Manage the entire sales cycle from procurement to delivery for both B2B and B2C markets.
Set up and manage an efficient supply chain and inventory management system.
Online Sales Management:
Establish and manage product listings on e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, Flipkart, BlinkIt, Instamart).
Collaborate with digital marketing teams to create and execute campaigns for online visibility and sales.
Monitor online sales metrics and optimize performance.
Offline Sales and Promotion:
Work closely with self-help groups (SHGs) to align sales goals with production capabilities.
Revenue and Impact Tracking:
Set revenue goals and track progress through regular performance reviews.
Analyze sales data and provide actionable insights for improvement.
Measure the social and economic impact of market interventions on the community and SHG members.
Capacity Building:
Conduct training sessions for SHG members on product presentation, managing kiosks, quality assurance, and marketing.
Develop marketing materials and presentations to support sales activities.
Reporting and Compliance:
Maintain regular reports on sales performance, challenges, and achievements.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements for sales and distribution.
Mandatory Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor s degree in Business Management or related field. Masters candidates preferred.
Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in sales, marketing, or business development, preferably in the sustainability sector.
Skills and Qualities:
Strong understanding of market linkages and sales processes (online and offline).
Excellent communication, negotiation, and networking skills.
Proficiency in using e-commerce platforms and digital marketing tools.
Strategic thinking with the ability to identify market trends and opportunities.
Project management skills with a focus on meeting targets and deadlines.
Basic understanding of environmental sustainability and community-based initiatives.
Experience working with self-help groups (SHGs) or community-driven projects.
Familiarity with the agriculture and horticulture sectors in Maharashtra.
Fluency in English, Marathi, and Hindi
