Job Description



PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Prepare profit and loss, cash flow statements monthly and closing and cost accounting reports.
  2. Daily reconciliation of bank statements, payments received and cash-in-hand position
  3. Compile and analyze financial information to prepare entries to accounts, such as general ledger accounts, and document business transactions.
  4. Plan, Prepare the Standard Operating Procedure (SoP) for every task/function performed by your department, get it approved from management and designate primary and backup resource to execute it consistently, accurately daily. Establish, maintain, and coordinate the implementation of accounting and accounting control procedures.
  5. Manage Accountants, with respective work and ensuring cross-checking the entries.
  6. Ensure that Billing/Invoicing is accurate and with in 2 business days of waste pickup (all through WTS Cloud based ERP System).
  7. Monitor and review accounting and related system reports for accuracy and completeness. Prepare and review budget, revenue, expense, payroll entries, invoices, and other accounting documents.
  8. Analyze revenue and expenditure trends and recommend appropriate budget levels, and ensure expenditure control.
  9. Be very polite, courteous and helpful to staff, vendors and clients on phone and in person. Be firm on company policies, procedures and systems at the same time, lovingly and politely explain and convince clients, employees and suppliers about them.
  10. Plan Advance Income Tax, Income Tax, GST, TDS, PF/ESI Liability in advance with at least 15 days notice to the management in writing with projected cash outflow requirement. Ensure respective challans, returns and payments are made minimum 5 days before the due date.
  11. Absolutely under no condition, circumstance any interest, late fee, penalty to be levied on any Individual, Company from ITO, GST, PF/ESI or regulatory Authority that we owe money and annual/quarterly/monthly returns including property tax on all properties. If any interest, late fee is charged and it’s due to negligence of the position/chair then that would have consequences as per rules against the position/chair and others accountable/responsible.
  12. Supervise the input and handling of financial data and reports for the company's automated financial systems.
  13. AUDITS: Interact with internal and external auditors in completing audits.
  14. Maintain all accounts data on Tally as well as WTS (Waste Tracking System) of the company maintaining customer master, transactions etc.
  15. Calculate TDS, Advance Tax, GST Payments and any other Government taxes and pay them before due date. File Returns at least 2 to 3 business days before deadline.
  16. PAYROLL: Calculate Payroll regularly, get approved from HR and management and pay on-time accurate, on-time and consistently.
  17. SUPPLIER PAYMENT: Make supplier payments on-time, accurately after due verification, then approval from receiver of service/goods and then management. Maintain a proper Purchase Order and Procurement System.
  18. CASH MANAGEMENT: Involve and maintain company cash management activity of investing in Fixed Deposits or Mutual Funds whereby Principal and returns are assured. Subsequent tax liabilities MUST be projected, planned and paid with full accuracy of transactions.
  19. Daily Backup of Accounts Software Systems (Tally and WTS) and ensuring they work.
  20. Other duties as assigned.

SPECIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Develop the annual estimated and actual operating budget, financial statements, liabilities (accrued leaves, taxes, insurance premiums, lease rents etc) and subsequent cash flow projections.
  2. Provide accounting policy orientation for new staff.
  3. File Annual Income Tax Returns of all Directors, Promotors and family members accurately, much before due datetime, whereby no interest, penalty should ever be applicable.
  4. Prepare Annual finalized P&L, Balance Sheet and ITR for all companies delegated with in 2 months of close of financial year (i.e. by 31st May) and engage with company appointed CA to ensure the returns are filed by 30th June each year. whereby no interest, penalty should ever be applicable.
  5. Advise Tax Efficiency whereby any legal deductions that can be utilized under the Tax Laws be advised to the management much in advance.
  6. MAINTAIN 100% CONFIDENTIALITY of Corporate Data, Customer List, Employee List, P&L, BS and Financials of the company. Absolutely ensure no accountant breaks the confidentiality of data.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  1. M Commerce from reputed institute or Chartered Accountant plus At least 10 years hands-on Experience of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Knowledge of financial and accounting software applications. Knowledge of federal and state financial regulations. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare financial reports, statements and projections.
  2. Very Good Written and Spoken English
  3. Excellent in PS/Windows, MS Office, Tally, Outlook, SmartPhone Apps
  4. Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule.


Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
