Job Objective:

TheCompliance Officer is responsible for supporting the Group CommercialOperations Director in ensuring that the organization complies with allregulatory requirements relating to Know Your Customer (KYC) and sanctionscompliance. This role involves implementing, monitoring, conducting duediligence, addressing regulatory risks and enhancement of the organizationsKYC and sanctions compliance frameworks, to prevent financial crimes and sanctions breaches.

Key Accountabilities:

KYC Compliance :

Assist in the developmentand implementation of KYC policies and procedures in line with regulatoryrequirements

Ensure thorough duediligence processes for onboarding new customers and vendors and periodicreview of existing customers and vendors

Conduct customer duediligence (CDD), enhanced due diligence (EDD), and ongoing due diligence (ODD)for high-risk clients

Monitor and evaluatecustomer and vendor risk profiles and ensure proper documentation andcompliance with regulatory requirements.

Ensure compliance withinternal KYC and sanctions policies and regulatory requirements.

Conduct periodic review andaudits to verify adherence to KYC procedures and regulatory expectations and toidentify gaps and recommend improvements

Sanctions Compliance :

Stay updated on changes andnew sanctions regulations and communicate changes to relevant stakeholders andrecommend changes to compliance processes as required

Monitor compliance withinternational and local sanctions regulations (e.g., OFAC, EU, UN).

Conduct sanctions screeningfor customers, transactions, and third-party vendors using approved systems

Investigate and resolve sanctionsscreening alerts, escalating any confirmed matches to management as required
