About Us:
SchulteMarine Concept (SMC), a group company of Bernhard Schulte and a leadingprovider of shipbuilding consultancy, owners supervision and plan approvalservices in the marine industry operating worldwide, is looking for suitablecandidate to be part of a team for providing \u201cPlan approval & marineconsultancy\u201d.
KeyAccountabilities:
- Coordinating plan review process between Builder, Buyers,Consultants, and any other external parties as involved.
- Monitoring and managing plans submission, flow of reviewcomments between stake holders and following up till a systematic closure isachieved.
- For coordination, an in-house software is used whichcoordinator is required to familiarize and implement.
- Prepare plan approval progress reports in company standardtemplates.
- Engage Builders team, Designers team, Buyers team and planreview teams on email communications to expedite plan review and commentsdiscussion process.
- Support Project managers in resolving design issuesidentified during plan review stage.
- Support project site teams in clarifying plan approval stagescomments, agreements on specification deviations etc.
- Coordinate 3D model review by Buyers teams with Buildersand follow up review comment resolution.
- To have good command over Microsoft office applications.Mainly word, excel and PowerPoint.
- Prepare specification deviations and get them signed off byall stake holders.
- Attend online meetings with Builders and clients worldwide.
- Prepare meeting minutes.
- Compile outstanding lists on various project relatedactivities and follow up for closure.
- Coordinating with project site teams in gathering lessonslearned input related to design, production, construction, and testing.
- Attending project site offices for work from time to time asassigned by Company.
- Attending Factory acceptance tests of ships new equipment(like Main engine, Generators, Pumps, MSB, ESB, Winches etc).
- Supporting company ISO audits of projects site offices,compiling audit observations summary, coordinating audits, supporting duringaudits, following up on Audit comments and closure.
RequirementsEducation & Qualifications:
- Suitablecandidate can be a diploma or degree holder in Naval Architecture or marineengineering, preferably Third Engineer
Work Experience:
- Asailing 3 rd Engineer with experience and exposure in a Ship designhouse or shipyard design office carrying out marine ship design or in shipoperation (sailing).
- A goodunderstanding of various ship design disciplines, ships plans, the process ofplans submission and approval to Owners / Class and construction of ships isrequired.
Job-specific Skills:
- Strongknowledge of vessels technical requirements and / or Vessels designrequirements
- GoodKnowledge of Statutory and regulatory requirements for new ship builds.
- Verygood negotiation skills
- Excellentcommunication abilities
- Strongorganisational and project management skills
- Fluencyin English
- PCliteracy
- A goodunderstanding of various ship design disciplines, ships plans, the process ofplans submission and approval to Owners / Class and construction of ships isrequired.
