The Opportunity

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) is an individual who is a leader and self-starter with excellent interpersonal skills. In this role, the AVP is responsible for creating and driving strategy to deliver results. This role requires the individual to collaborate with India and U.S. stakeholders for determination of business needs while devising and implementing a results-oriented strategy that is in alignment with the goals and objectives of the organization.

As the Office Manager for Gurgaon office, the individual in this role is required to lead all the members of this office location, drive the location strategy and Berkadia culture.

  • Driving a culture of growth mindset, innovation, and challenging the status quo for business transformation.
  • Liaising regularly with key business partners to understand business expectations, needs, concerns, and creating strategies to assist customers in accomplishing their goals and objectives to make decisions for operational activities.
  • Effective team leadership and communication; managing, monitoring, and coaching line managers through ongoing formal and informal communication and ensuring that information is communicated throughout the division.
  • Establishing and monitoring business metrics, taking corrective actions where necessary, and ensuring delivery of KPIs.
  • Collaborating with the Transformation team to evaluate the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and applying improvements on an ongoing basis, proposing enhancements to India and U.S stakeholders, and owning their satisfactory execution.
  • Working with business leaders and recruitment teams to create strategies for talent acquisition and retention including organizing recruiting efforts for prospective candidates and proactively addressing any retention challenges.
  • Devising leaning and development programs in collaboration with training program managers and business partners, successfully implement corporate initiatives and development programs.
  • Creating an environment that motivates employees, ensuring they are fully aware of what is expected of them and re
  • cognizing their successes.
  • Driving rapid and consistent operational improvements to ensure on-time delivery in full, to quality standards, to the customers’ expectations, and with most effective use of resources.
  • Enabling the team to overcome hurdles and encouraging them to try new ideas and suggest process and technology improvements to increase efficiency.
  • Performing root cause analysis on issues, creating solutions to items identified, and preventing recurrence of identified issues.
  • Considering multiple perspectives and identifying solutions to problems that are not defined always.

Responsibilities as Office Manager:

  • Drive and Propagate Berkadia Way culture
  • Collaborate with the HR team to drive all people engagement initiatives in the site.
  • Collaborate with Administration team to monitor and address infrastructure, logistics, procurement, and transportation related issues of the site.
  • Collaborate with Corporate Communications team to ensure all critical communications are conveyed across the site.
  • Responsible for all important stakeholders visiting the office.
  • Proactively highlight issues and risks related to the site or geography. Propose and implement solutions to mitigate the risks.
  • Collaborate with the respective vertical heads across sites people and/or key personnel issues.

 

Your Qualification

  • Any bachelor’s degree
  • Work Experience:  
      • Overall, 12 years of experience. At least 8 years of experience in the people-leading role.
      • At least 5 years in Financial Services industry, preferably in Commercial Real Estate (CRE) industry
