Role:

Leading the Factory Accounts related activities coordinating with all stakeholders for cost optimization and reporting

Reporting to Factory Head

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts & Auditing Manager to oversee and streamline the financial operations across our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting, costing, taxation, and statutory compliance processes, ensuring smooth financial functioning, and working closely with management to provide insights into financial performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounts & Auditing:
• Design and implement efficient systems to ensure seamless finance and accounting operations.
• Supervise the preparation of Management Information System (MIS) reports, providing detailed feedback to top management on financial performance, including fund management, variance analysis, and profitability.
• Formulate annual budgets, conduct variance analysis, and implement corrective actions based on discrepancies between projected and actual results.
• Manage working capital and liaise with banks for day-to-day operations.
• Coordinate with internal and statutory auditors, assess internal control systems, and ensure necessary actions are taken based on audit recommendations.
• Supervise purchase invoice bookings, Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs), service invoices for freight, Capex, and engineering bills.

2. Costing:

• Determine the manufacturing cost and MRP of products, and compile comprehensive cost and performance reports.
• Conduct cost-benefit analysis, prepare cost sheets, and provide total costing details to the Marketing Department as required.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements by maintaining all cost accounting records and conducting periodic cost audits for products in the Chemicals sector.
• Identify and implement cost-saving measures to optimize financial efficiency.

3. Plant & Machinery Management:

• Oversee plant and machinery-related issues, ensuring smooth operations and cost management.
• Manage scrap monitoring and negotiation processes through e-auction platforms.
• Negotiate and arrange transport service providers, leveraging e-auction methods for optimal service agreements.

4. Taxation & Statutory Compliances:

• Develop tax plans, ensuring timely payments and filing of direct and indirect tax returns in compliance with statutory requirements.
• Coordinate with government departments and regulatory authorities to obtain necessary sanctions and ensure adherence to various statutory obligations.
• Handle the filing of periodical GST returns, manage GST audits, and perform reconciliation of ITC claims in line with counterparty GST returns.
• Stay updated with changes in Central and State Industrial Policies, prepare incentive applications, obtain required certificates, and ensure proper disbursement.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• In-depth knowledge of accounting, auditing, costing, and taxation.
• Strong experience in managing budgeting, variance analysis, and working capital management.
• Expertise in handling statutory compliances, tax returns, and government liaisoning.
• Ability to evaluate and improve internal control systems and audit processes.
• Knowledge of Central and State Industrial Policies and tax-related incentives.
• Proficient in the use of accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Strong negotiation skills, particularly in relation to e-auction processes and transport service arrangements.

Preferred Qualifications:

• CA, CMA
• At least 9-10 years of relevant experience in accounting, auditing and taxation roles.
• Preferred from Plant/Manufacturing Unit.
• Fluency in Marathi (spoken and written) is mandatory for the location in Jejuri, Pune.
