Software Developer - ABAP

• Write, analyze, test and modify SAP software, applications, programs and updates.
• Engage in most aspects of the system development lifecycle, including development, testing, implementation, and support.

PRINCIPAL FUNCTIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, configure, implement and support SAPs solutions.
• Debug and implement enhancements in existing applications.
• Working knowledge on cross applications like EDI/ IDOCS.
• Perform performance tuning to improve performance over multiple functions
• Participate as a high-level technical expert in design, development, coding, documenting, testing and debugging existing or new applications.
• Create prototypes and mock-ups.
• Engage other technical team members in the design, delivery, and deployment of solutions.
• Resolve customer issues.
• Participate in estimation and project planning.
• Report assigned tasks periodically to supervisor.
• Periodic project management meetings.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS: (Overall experience and years of experience in particular skill)

• Educational attainment equivalent to a bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field
• Familiarity with Module pool, UI5/Fiori, Smart Forms, BADI s, BAPI s User Exits
• Knowledge of EDI Business Intelligence tools are a plus

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:

• Considerable knowledge and understanding of SAP development technologies such as ABAP SQL and front-end technologies like HTML5 JavaScript (5 years)
• Strong object orientation experience
• SAP Fiori development experience is required (1 year)
• Gateway development
• Strong communication skills
• Considerable knowledge of business and manufacturing applications and system requirements
• Knowledge of systems analysis and design
• Strong analytical skills and ability to write technical specifications.

• Ability to lead and facilitate technical discussions.
• Ability to evaluate project requests, provide solutions with time estimates, and follow through and complete projects accurately and on a timely basis.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member in completing assignments.
• SAP Certifications is a big plus
• CPI-DS, RTI, JITTERBIT development, integration and monitoring knowledge will have added advantage.
