Role : Backend Developer (NestJS, GCP, PostgreSQL).

Job Type : Contractual.

Duration : 2 months.

Role Overview :

We are looking for a skilled Backend Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will design and implement robust, scalable APIs using NestJS, deploy them on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Functions, and efficiently manage data with PostgreSQL and Prisma ORM.

You will play a key role in building serverless, cost-effective solutions while ensuring high availability and performance.

Key Responsibilities :

API Development :

- Develop backend APIs using NestJS, leveraging its modular architecture for scalability and maintainability.

- Implement RESTful services and ensure adherence to best practices for performance and security.

Serverless Deployment :

- Deploy APIs on GCP Cloud Functions for a serverless architecture.

- Optimize the deployment for cost-effectiveness, scalability, and high availability.

Database Management :

- Use PostgreSQL as the primary database, ensuring efficient schema design and data integrity.

- Utilize Prisma ORM for schema management, query execution, and database operations.

Integration & Collaboration :

- Work closely with frontend developers to ensure seamless API integration.

- Collaborate with DevOps to ensure smooth deployments and CI/CD pipelines.

Performance Optimization & Maintenance :

- Monitor and optimize API performance.

- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues promptly.

- Regularly update and maintain the APIs to align with evolving requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

- Proficiency in NestJS for backend development.

- Experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP), particularly Cloud Functions.

- Strong knowledge of PostgreSQL database design and management.

- Hands-on experience with Prisma ORM for database interactions.

- Familiarity with serverless architectures and related cost/efficiency optimizations.

- Understanding of API security best practices, including authentication and authorization.

- Proficiency in using tools for version control (e., Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
