Accountant

Role & responsibilities:

• Perform Tally data entry, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and bank reconciliation statements, along with debtor/creditor statement preparation.
• Process invoices, expense forms, and payment requests efficiently.
• Verify accounting transactions with proper documentation, ensuring correct account allocation (Revenue vs. Capex), and manage prepaid and outstanding liabilities.
• Handle petty cash transactions, and prepare bills and receipts.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and manage documentation such as filing and making copies.
• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including Service Tax, TDS, Professional Tax, and GST.
• Prepare and file returns for e-TDS, GST, and Professional Tax.
• Support administrative activities as required.

Preferred candidate profile

• Educational Qualifications: B.Com or M.Com with 2-6 years of relevant experience.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Tally 9 ERP is mandatory. Strong skills in MS Office applications (Excel and Word).
• Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently or within a team.
• Ability to interact effectively with customers and external stakeholders.
