Job Description

  • Electrical Engineer experience on basic and detailed design and project co-ordination of Electrical works on BESS projects
  • Should have executed at least two, medium to large size projects, in an engineering office or consultancy of repute
  • Has a good knowledge of Electrical System and Physical design, the principles, and practices of related technical areas and of coordinating with other technical disciplines
  • Candidate should have exposure to Indian, US, Euro and other foreign codes/standards and local practices
  • Major Responsibilities
  • Assists in preparation of conceptual studies, designs, reports or proposals, design criteria, specifications, budget and schedules for projects of varying complexity
  • Assist and provide guidance to engineers to perform conceptual design, System study and Equipment sizing
  • Assist and provide guidance to engineers for MR/SR preparation, Reviews bid analyses and makes recommendation
  • Assist and provide guidance in the preparation of cost estimates, quantity take-offs and staffing requirements for proposals, forecasts and change orders
  • Reviews and checks work of subordinate engineers and provide input for their performance evaluation
  • Estimates staffing needs and schedules and assigns work to meet schedule dates
  • Coordinates with client representatives as delegated to obtain their approval on phases of work
  • Coordinates assigned engineering work with other project groups
  • Promotes the creation of a work environment, supported by leadership, which fosters openness, trust, communication, teamwork, empowerment, innovation, and satisfaction
  • Education And Experience Requirements
  • A recognized bachelors/masters degree in electrical engineering, from an accredited college or university with an overall experience of minimum 12 years Site experience will be an added advantage
  • Required Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities
  • Electrical design of battery-based energy storage systems and know-how on DCS, BMS, EMS and SCADA designs
  • Battery and Inverter Sizing
  • Battery selection (Technology and configuration)
  • Be aware and develop expertise in fundamental aspects and main characteristics of current battery technologies and relate them to battery parameters
  • Techno-commercial analysis of various technologies
  • BESS modeling in ETAP and system studies for Renewable energy system using BESS
  • Experience in the areas of Renewable energy systems and/or deployment of BESS
  • Prior experience in EPC business is an added advantage
  • Prepare FAT and integration test plan for BESS systems
  • Technical review of documents provided by vendors
  • Familiarity with applicable codes, standards and regulations in USA, Australia, South-East Asia, India etc Client management, team management and process management skills
  • Know-how on other electrical and PV software is an added advantage
  • Project Management and Strong interpersonal skills with experience in an international multicultural environment
  • Due diligence and expertise where you take the lead to review technical documents and installations to determine their compliance
  • Project management of bids and projects throughout their life cycle
