Head - Legal (10-15 yrs)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Legal Head fluent in French to lead and manage the legal operations for our organization in Guinea. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing legal counsel, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing corporate governance, and mitigating legal risks. This role requires expertise in local and international laws, excellent communication skills in French, and the ability to navigate the legal landscape in Guinea effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Advisory and Compliance:

- Provide legal guidance to the organization on corporate, labor, and regulatory matters.

- Ensure compliance with local and international laws, regulations, and industry standards.

- Monitor legal and regulatory developments to mitigate risks and leverage opportunities.

Contracts and Agreements:

- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and other legal documents.

- Ensure that all contractual obligations are adhered to and legally sound.

Corporate Governance:

- Advise senior management on governance policies and practices.

- Ensure proper documentation and compliance with corporate legal requirements.

Dispute Resolution and Litigation:

- Manage legal disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation.

- Represent the company in court proceedings and liaise with external counsel when necessary.

Stakeholder Engagement:

- Build and maintain relationships with regulatory authorities, legal bodies, and other stakeholders.

- Act as a key advisor to internal teams on legal implications of business strategies and operations.

Team Leadership:

- Lead and mentor the legal team to ensure high performance and professional growth.

- Establish and monitor key legal processes and workflows.
