- The Group Manager - Finance Business Partner is a critical leadership role responsible for driving the financial planning, analysis, and reporting (FP&A) function across multiple business areas (E-commerce, Wholesale, Retail) within a manufacturing/retail/franchise business context.
- This role will lead a team of finance professionals and act as a key advisor to business leaders, providing data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making and optimize business performance.
- The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, deep financial acumen, and a proven ability to translate complex financial data into actionable recommendations.
Main Purpose:
- To lead and oversee the FP&A function, ensuring the delivery of accurate, timely, and insightful financial information to support strategic decision-making and drive business growth across all assigned business units.
- This includes overseeing the integrated financial planning processes, generating comprehensive reports and analyses, optimizing key performance indicators (KPIs), and collaborating with IT to enhance financial systems and data analytics capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Leadership & Management:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Set clear performance expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews for direct reports.
- Allocate resources effectively to ensure optimal utilization of team expertise and capacity.
- Promote a strong understanding of financial best practices and ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Financial Planning & Analysis:
- Oversee the development and execution of the annual budget, rolling forecasts, and long-range financial plans for each business area (E-commerce, Wholesale, Retail), ensuring alignment with overall company objectives.
- Provide insightful analysis of financial performance, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to monitor business performance and track progress towards strategic goals.
- Conduct in-depth financial modeling and scenario planning to evaluate the potential impact of various business decisions.
- Collaborate with business leaders to develop financial strategies that support growth initiatives and improve profitability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred.
- 2-5years of progressive experience in financial planning and analysis.
- Proven experience in the manufacturing, retail, or franchise industry is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills and experience in managing and developing a team.
- Deep understanding of financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting techniques.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
