RESPONSIBILITIES:.
Collection:
- Analyze range architecture /PPA /market feedback for New development.
- To build a collection to suit the profile of the customers and constantly prepare an updated Shoeline.
- Propose new concepts in the category.
- Decide the launch period of the new concepts/range as per the seasonality.
- Continue to develop new & back-up collection as replacements of non-performance articles in alliance with sourcing & collection team.
- Visit sourcing partners & own units for new sample developments.
- Coordinate with costing team for cost settlement of new articles.
- New range presentation to Sales team & distributors for feedbacks.
- Pricing the articles based on concepts, distribution & margin keeping in mind minimum cushions required or reduction.
- To keep track of margins on monthly & seasonal basis for each category.
- All the above need to be approved by Merchandising Head and pricing to be counter approved by the Managing Director.
Open to Buy:
- The Budget Planning for the new season as per Company indication.
- Decide on the concepts/categories to be highlighted in the approaching season.
- As per the control figures decided by the Company, the budget is to be allocated to the concepts.
- Monthly Sales stock procurement Plan for the Key projects/Categories.
- Monthly meeting with RM's to discuss sales forecast & OTB.
- Month-wise buying plan based on the sales trend & forecast given by sales team.
- Constant revision in the Plan based on the sales pattern.
Order Placements:
- Based on Monthly OTB and FWC objective.
- To place Orders to sourcing/Unit as per the SOP.
- Keeping the factories running as per Factory Estimates as per the SOP.
- Weekly follow ups with planning team for timely dispatches.
- Coordinate with logistic team for timely deliveries at depot.
Promotions:
- Present a plan to promote the collections, & develop the required POP's in alliance with marketing team.
- Volume project to be highlighted - Chosen for you Trend Poster.
- Shoeline catalogue to be developed each season.
- Concept wise catalogue to be developed.
- To keep all Sales personnel informed about trends, Shoe Collection and Selling features of individual articles through the Merchandise catalogue/PoPs.
Sales Monitoring:.
- Constant review of the category in the four regions in order to supplement sales with optimum stock.
- Weekly review of the category performance at Pairs/TO/margin level/FWC.
- Providing more substitutes for bestselling concepts to capture market.
- Constantly reviewing the performance of new articles across the Depots.
Stock Management:.
- Ensure availability of 9 weeks of stock in Depots.
- Ensure constant availability of NOOS at depot level.
- Eliminate the slow sellers and defective lines by interesting promotions and price reduction.
- Constantly mark the discontinued lines and pass the information to the Sales team so as to ensure a faster clearance of the same.
- Maintain an updated sample stock of the current lines with the updated sales record of all articles.
- Continue follow-up of the articles performance, increasing procurement of NOOS, stopping those slow movers.
Market Research:.
- Keeping track of the emerging trends and prices in the market.
- Prepare seasonal trend board, story board and paper collections.
- Keeping in touch with the Regional Managers, ASM's and Distributors.
- Analyzing the emerging buying habits Visit competitors and suppliers.
MIS:.
- Contribute and assist to the ongoing development of MIS for Improvements in merchandising.
Sample management:.
- Ensure all active lines are displayed in rack .
- Ensure all samples have sample card with all details and approvals.
- Ensure all samples are well maintained in terms of aesthetics and cleanliness.
- Ensure all Competitors samples are available for analysis.
