Job Description

Barry Callebaut Digital (BCD) is on a mission to lead the digital revolution in the chocolate industry, and were looking for a Project Manager Digital to support this transformative journey. Reporting directly to the Director of Program Management and Project Excellence, you will have the unique opportunity to shape our digital ways of working by managing project planning, conception, implementation, and tracking. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet the desired objectives by applying project management best practices throughout the project lifecycle. In addition, you will report project status to management and manage escalations. You will take on a vital role in the digital transformation of our organization by driving the delivery of our ambitious digital roadmap. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES SCOPE

  • Manage digital projects with medium complexity (~ CHF
  • Directly report to the Director of Program Management and Project Excellence, ensuring alignment of projects with the overall digital strategy and contributing to the digital transformation roadmap
  • Define project scope, objectives and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and relevant stakeholders
  • Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the successful execution of projects
  • Allocate resources effectively to ensure project success, balance team workloads and manage resource constraints
  • Manage escalations from program and projects according to defined governance structures
  • Track project performance, prepare project documentation and report to senior management on project status, risks, and issues
  • Identify potential risks and issues and develop risk mitigation plans. Monitor project risks and develop risk response strategies
  • Implement and oversee the quality assurance process on the project. Ensure compliance with BC standards, policies and best practices
  • Manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs
  • Develop, implement, and refine project management methodologies, standards, and tools, incorporate project management best-practices and industry trends
  • Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders

Scope:

  • This is a global leadership role with key stakeholders located in Europe (e.g. Belgium, Poland) and other locations of our global footprint (can be global from America s to Asia), and thus requires up to 30% travel.

EDUCATION, LANGUAGE, SKILLS QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proficiency in English
  • Project Management certificates, e.g. PMP, PRINCE2 are a plus

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE / TECHNICAL OR FUNCTIONAL COMPETENCIES

  • Significant experience and deep understanding of digital project and program management incl. project management methodologies, frameworks, industry trends and best practices
  • A minimum of 3+ years of project management experience in relevant fields
  • Good knowledge of project management solutions, e.g. Planview (formerly: Clarizen), Asana, JIRA, Microsoft Project
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, problem-solving and decision-making abilities
  • The ability to bring people together and mobilize individuals to pursue a joint agenda
  • Independent and self-driven personality
  • Skills to create internal and external partnerships/networks across the organization
