Role Overview

The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing order procurement, streamlining dispatch operations, and overseeing customer-side processes. This role is pivotal in ensuring seamless operations and customer satisfaction, contributing directly to the companys success.

Key Responsibilities

1. Order Dispatch and Fulfillment

• Coordinate and oversee the dispatching of orders to ensure timely delivery.
• Work closely with logistics partners to monitor shipments and address any delivery issues.
• Implement and refine order tracking systems to keep customers informed.

2. Procurement Management

• Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to procure high-quality materials/products.
• Maintain inventory levels and ensure stock availability for seamless order processing.
• Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers while managing costs effectively.

3. Customer Operations Management

• Oversee customer-side operations, including resolving escalated customer issues.
• Monitor customer feedback to identify pain points and improve processes.
• Ensure that all operational processes align with customer satisfaction goals.

4. Process Improvement and Efficiency

• Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for key operations.
• Continuously assess workflows to improve efficiency and reduce turnaround times.
• Use data and KPIs to measure performance and drive operational improvements.

5. Team Coordination

• Lead and coordinate with operations and logistics teams to ensure alignment.
• Provide training and support to team members to achieve operational excellence.
• Foster a collaborative and motivated work environment.

Skills & Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in operations, logistics, or supply chain management.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills for vendor, team, and customer interactions.
• Proficiency in using order management and tracking tools.
• Analytical skills for process improvement and data-driven decision-making.

Preferred:

• Experience in e-commerce or retail, especially with order fulfillment and dispatch.
• Familiarity with CRM and ERP systems.
• Passion for books or experience in the publishing/book retail industry.
