Job Overview:
The Learning & Development (L&D) Expert will play a pivotal role in driving the development and growth of employees across the organization. With a focus on fostering a continuous learning culture, the L&D Expert will design, implement, and manage training programs that enhance employee performance, engagement, and growth. In addition to L&D responsibilities, this role will support Talent Acquisition (TA) efforts, focusing on aligning talent strategies with organizational goals to ensure the business attracts, develops, and retains top talent.
Key Responsibilities:
Learning & Development:
1. Training Program Design and Delivery:
- Design, develop, and implement comprehensive learning programs that address skills gaps and promote professional growth across all levels of the organization.
- Deliver engaging and impactful training sessions both in-person and virtually, tailored to meet the specific needs of different departments and teams.
2. Needs Assessment & Analysis:
- Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify learning opportunities and align programs with organizational goals.
- Collaborate with department leaders to ensure that training programs address the evolving needs of the business.
3. Performance Improvement:
- Analyze employee performance data and feedback to assess the effectiveness of training programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Develop strategies to support ongoing professional development, including mentoring, coaching, and career development plans.
4. Learning Technology & Tools:
- Leverage learning management systems (LMS) and other technology tools to deliver and track employee learning initiatives.
- Stay current with new learning technologies and trends, incorporating innovative approaches into training programs.
5. Employee Engagement:
- Foster a culture of continuous learning by encouraging employee participation in learning programs.
- Create a feedback loop to understand employee experiences with learning initiatives and implement improvements.
Talent Acquisition:
1. Talent Strategy & Planning:
- Collaborate with HR and business leaders to create talent acquisition strategies aligned with the company's short- and long-term growth objectives.
- Develop targeted recruitment campaigns, focusing on attracting candidates who are a good fit for the organization's culture and development programs.
2. Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Lead and manage end-to-end talent acquisition activities, including job posting, screening, interviewing, and hiring for key roles across various departments.
- Design and implement an engaging onboarding program that effectively integrates new hires into the organization, helping them get up to speed and feel supported.
3. Employer Branding:
- Partner with the marketing and HR teams to promote the company's learning culture and employee development initiatives as part of the employer value proposition.
- Represent the organization at job fairs, recruitment events, and conferences to attract top talent.
4. Talent Pool Development:
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of qualified candidates for future openings by leveraging networking, social media, and professional groups.
- Implement proactive sourcing strategies to ensure the company can quickly fill talent gaps with top candidates
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- 5-9 years of experience in Learning & Development, with a strong understanding of talent management and organizational development.
- Proven track record of designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs across various levels of the organization.
- Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and familiarity with various learning technologies and platforms.
- Demonstrated experience in partnering with business leaders and teams to develop talent strategies and execute learning initiatives that drive business outcomes.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage employees at all levels.
- Familiarity with talent acquisition processes and the ability to support recruitment through talent development strategies.
