Job Description

1. Sales Strategy & Territory Management

  • Define Territory Sales Plan: Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy tailored to the assigned territory (geographic or market-specific).
  • Target Market Identification: Identify key business customers, such as hospitals, clinics, labs, or healthcare providers that require diagnostic products and services.
  • Sales Forecasting: Analyze trends, opportunities, and market needs to predict sales targets and set realistic goals.
  • Quota Management: Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs (key performance indicators) by promoting and selling diagnostic products.

2. Client Acquisition & Relationship Building

  • Prospect New Clients: Generate new leads and opportunities by identifying and engaging with decision-makers in the B2B space (laboratories, healthcare providers, etc.).
  • Manage Key Accounts: Cultivate and nurture long-term relationships with existing clients and strengthen client retention.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage clients in needs-based selling to recommend the right diagnostic solutions based on their unique requirements.
  • Customer Support: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their ongoing satisfaction with the diagnostic products and services.

3. Product Knowledge & Demonstrations

  • Product Expertise: Maintain deep knowledge of the diagnostic companys products, services, and technology, ensuring you can communicate their value and benefits effectively.
  • Product Presentations: Lead product demonstrations and training sessions for clients, showcasing diagnostic tools and technologies.
  • Provide Technical Support: Offer troubleshooting and technical assistance to clients, ensuring optimal use of diagnostic products.

4. Negotiation & Closing Deals

  • Contract Negotiation: Lead negotiations on pricing, terms, and contracts, balancing the company’s objectives with client needs.
  • Closing Sales: Guide prospects through the decision-making process and close deals to achieve revenue goals.

5. Market Analysis & Competitor Research

  • Market Research: Continuously monitor the diagnostic industry, trends, competitor offerings, and customer feedback to refine your sales approach.
  • Competitor Analysis: Track competitor products and pricing to identify opportunities for differentiation and adjust strategies accordingly.

6. Reporting & Administration

  • Sales Reporting: Regularly report on sales activities, progress towards targets, and market insights to senior management.
  • CRM Management: Utilize customer relationship management (CRM) tools to track leads, opportunities, sales progress, and account history.
  • Administrative Duties: Handle order processing, follow-ups, and coordination with internal departments like logistics and customer service.

7. Collaboration & Teamwork

  • Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, customer service, and product teams to ensure smooth delivery of services and products.
  • Sales Team Leadership (if applicable): If overseeing a team, mentor and guide junior sales representatives in their efforts to meet sales targets and improve performance.

8. Continuing Education & Industry Networking

  • Professional Development: Keep up to date with advancements in diagnostic technology and sales techniques.
  • Networking: Attend industry conferences, events, and seminars to build relationships with key stakeholders and maintain visibility in the market.Role & responsibilities
