JAVA Developer (Software Development Engineer)

Job Description:

The ideal candidate should have a solid understanding of Java, including its core features and advanced functionalities to be able to write RESTful microservices. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable and efficient backend services using Java and Spring Boot.  

Key Objectives/Responsibilities of this Role:

• Design, develop, and maintain robust and scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot. 
• Implement multithreading and concurrency mechanisms to ensure high performance and responsiveness of applications. 
• Develop RESTful APIs to support various front-end and third-party integrations. 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features. 
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and industry standards. 
• Optimize existing code and applications to improve performance, security, and scalability using SOLID principles. 
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications and systems. 
• Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members. 
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, testing, and deployment. 
• Work closely with database administrators to design and optimize database schemas and queries. 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and technologies. 

Mandatory Skillset & Tools: 

• Experience in building REST API and web applications with Java 8 and above. 
• Strong understanding of Java core features, such as collections, streams, lambdas, and generics. 
• Proficiency in multithreading and concurrency in Java. 
• Extensive experience with Spring Boot and related frameworks (Spring Data, Spring Security, etc.).
