Branch Manager (Chennai and Kochi Location)

The Branch Manager will be responsible for overseeing the operations, customer service, and business development of the branch in the Freight and Customs Clearance industry. This individual will ensure efficient, timely, and cost-effective movement of goods while ensuring full compliance with customs regulations. The Branch Manager will also be responsible for leading a team, managing customer relationships, driving revenue growth, and ensuring operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

• Branch Operations Management:
• Oversee and manage all day-to-day operations of the branch.
• Ensure smooth handling of freight, customs clearance, and documentation processes.
• Ensure timely delivery of goods while complying with local and international shipping regulations.
• Coordinate with shipping companies, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations.
• Team Leadership & Staff Management:
• Manage, mentor, and train a team of operations staff, customer service representatives, and logistics personnel.
• Delegate tasks and responsibilities effectively to maximize productivity.
• Conduct performance appraisals, provide feedback, and recommend development opportunities for the team.
• Customer Service & Relationship Management:
• Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring their logistics and clearance needs are met with excellence.
• Resolve customer complaints or issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors to drive business growth.
• Compliance & Regulatory Management:
• Ensure that all customs regulations, import/export laws, and safety standards are adhered to.
• Monitor the compliance of all staff and stakeholders with industry laws and standards.
• Keep updated on any changes to customs and freight regulations to ensure the branch remains compliant.
• Business Development & Sales:
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities to grow the branch's customer base.
• Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to support the expansion of services.
• Provide solutions to customer inquiries, quotations, and ensure a high standard of service.
• Reporting & Documentation:
• Prepare and submit reports on branch operations, sales, and performance to senior management.
