Operations Accountant

Position Overview:

The Operations Accountant is responsible for managing project supply data, overseeing warehouse operations, coordinating logistics, and ensuring seamless material flow. This role bridges operational and financial activities, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of inventory and financial transactions while maintaining coordination with the core accounting team.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Project Supply Data Management:

• Maintain accurate records of project-specific supply data, including procurement, usage, and surplus.
• Regularly update project material reports to ensure transparency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with project managers to address supply-related queries and discrepancies.

2. Warehouse Operations Management:

• Oversee inward and outward movements of materials in the warehouse.
• Ensure accurate inventory records are maintained and reconciled with physical stock.
• Conduct regular audits of warehouse stock to prevent discrepancies.

3. Logistics Coordination:

• Manage end-to-end logistics, including arranging transportation and tracking shipments.
• Ensure timely delivery of materials to project sites or customers.
• Address and resolve logistics-related issues to prevent project delays.

4. Materials In-Out Management:

• Monitor material flow, including issuance, returns, and transfers between locations.
• Implement efficient systems to track material usage and availability.
• Ensure adherence to company protocols for material handling and storage.

5. Documentation and Reporting:

• Prepare and manage invoices, delivery challans (DC), and stock movement records.
• Update and maintain real-time data for all inventory transactions.
• Generate and share periodic reports with relevant stakeholders.

6. Coordination with Core Accounting Team:

• Collaborate with the core accounting team to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Provide timely updates on operational financial matters, including invoicing and payment follow-ups.
• Support accounting processes, such as reconciliation and audit preparations.

Qualifications and Skills:

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in operations accounting, warehouse management, or logistics.
• Experience in the HVAC industry is preferred.

Skills:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting/ERP software.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
