Azuga - Senior Backend Engineer - Django/Flask (4-8 yrs)

Title : Senior Back-End Engineer (Python)

Azuga is a telematics IoT company building hardware and software to power the future of mobility. We are part of the innovation arm of Bridgestone, the world's largest tire manufacturer.

Our SafetyIQ team is building a telematics data platform for extracting business-critical insightsfrom large-scale, complex IoT data. We are an agile and fast-moving team looking for a product-minded senior backend engineer who is passionate about building out ideas from concept toproduction-grade software.

Minimum Qualifications :

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science(or related fields).

- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills

- 4+ years of experience working in Django/Flask.

- Proficiency in RDS(Postgres/MySQL).

- Serverless technologies like AWS Lambda/ AWS StateMachines

Preferred Qualifications :

- Familiarity with search engines like Elasticsearch.

- Experience with asynchronous systems like Celery/SQS.

- Experience with pub-sub systems like Kafka/Kinesis.

- Experience with caching mechanisms (Redis/Memcached).

- Ability to learn other coding languages/technologies as needed.

- Experience in building scalable and distributed backend systems.

Responsibilities :

- Translate business ideas/user stories into technical problems to solve.

- Architecting and implementing the back-end APIs for our services, creating and implementing database schemas that represent and support our business processes.

- Design systems for high accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.

- Contribute to production deployments, including documentation of technical estimates, and prioritization.ase notes.

- Communicate effectively with team members to facilitate understanding of deliverables, estimates, and prioritization.

- Reverse engineer for debugging errors in code and ensuring quality control in the process.

- Mentoring and guiding the team members.
