Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Registrar with 2-5 years of experience to join our pediatric department. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to pediatric patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting the growth of our hospital's pediatric services.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Care: Provide comprehensive medical care to neonates, infants, children, and adolescents in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Clinical Assessment: Conduct detailed patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and formulate treatment plans in collaboration with consultants.
• Emergency Care: Handle pediatric emergencies, stabilize patients, and ensure timely referrals when necessary.
• Procedures: Perform and assist in pediatric procedures, including but not limited to vaccinations, lumbar punctures, and resuscitation.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with pediatric consultants, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate and timely medical records, including patient histories, treatment plans, and progress notes.
• Parent Education: Provide guidance to parents and caregivers regarding preventive care, nutrition, and treatment plans.
• Academic Activities: Participate in case discussions, training programs, and quality improvement initiatives within the hospital.

Qualifications and Skills

• Education: MBBS with MD/DNB/DCH in Pediatrics (recognized by MCI).
• Experience: 2-5 years in pediatric care, with exposure to both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Skills:
• Strong clinical knowledge and diagnostic skills in pediatrics.
• Proficiency in managing pediatric emergencies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Certifications: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is preferred.

Work Schedule

• Rotational shifts, including night duties as required.
• Availability for on-call responsibilities during emergencies.
